The happiest people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have. ~Hieronymous Anonymous
Imagine capturing a moment in time and having that memory ever-present and bigger than life….on a wall in your home. This new trend is pulling at our heartstrings, and F&N thinks we will be seeing a lot more of this in the future. We’d love to hear from you if you have done this in your home or client’s home, or are considering this. It seems like such a lovely way to hold a memory and have it visit you every day.
Just looking at this makes us happy….actually more like HAPPY! It is nostalgic and welcoming, and the smell of coconut oil permeates the air (can’t you almost smell it?) and sunshine is sending vitamin D from above to thaw our winter hearts.

Draperies used outdoors always feels so mysterious….what’s behind there? We love this look, and we are quite sure we will use this technique on a house remodel someday.
Organic pendant lighting mixed in a space of black and white. Totally happy about this.
Linen makes us happy…on chairs, on floor to ceiling draperies, especially in a room with rod iron fixtures….such a lovely juxtaposition.
We showed you how to update your grandmother’s sofa. In this instance we sprayed out these dining chairs (also from a grandmother <3) in silver, and they are happily nestled on a cowhide rug…perfectly at home in Kauai. A happy day is almost not complete without a fish scale tote by Maya Moon Designs….or pillows by (how appropriate) She’s Happy…or a Punee (daybed) by John Bryant Designs.
A zillion pink boxes. Happy!
Happy feet….
Major happy raspberry wall with a blue dish rack and modern pendant. F&N particularly likes the ‘N’. Very inspiring and happy.
Azure blue doorknob against vintage door….makes us happy to enter. We would love to see photos of your unique doorknobs, if you are so inclined to share.
The most wonderful blush to sit on one’s cheeks…or so we say….whether in creme or powder, Nars got it right with ‘Orgasm’…don’t let the name scare you. Be happy. (we would love to hear what your favorite, of-all-time, blush is.)
Laugh out loud….instant happiness.

Strong graphic prints seen in rugs for 2012. Could you see this in your home?
When Dad would say “Aren’t you a happy camper?”……Yes, indeed, we are.
F&N delights in lighting….it is one of our favorite parts of a design project.
This farm looks like one of the happiest places on earth.
